Volunteer Leadership
Want to develop your leadership skills and get people involved in building our community? All Volunteer Marin projects and teams are led by our amazing Volunteer Leaders.
Project leader (Flexible volunteer program)
Project Leaders make important projects in our community possible through a mix of enthusiasm, passion for improving their communities, and their ability to rise up and lead volunteers in engaging and meaningful short-term projects throughout Marin County.
ProBono Marin
ProBono Marin represents a group of dedicated skills based volunteers who offer their services in either a hands-on approach to helping your organization or offer strategic advice, which will strengthen your organization's overall performance.
BoardMatch Marin Coordinator
BoardMatch Coordinators connect prospective board candidates with Marin nonprofits that are in need of board members, while learning about and developing relationships with over 100 Marin organizations.
Matchmakers (1:1 Volunteer Matching)
Our volunteer counselors, the "Matchmakers", have conversations with potential volunteers to help them navigate the field of volunteerism in Marin. Volunteer Marin ensures continual support and training to equip the matchmakers with the knowledge needed to perfectly connect potential volunteers to opportunities throughout the County.
Committee leaders (special Events and Committees)
Each year the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership hosts the Marin Human Race, the Marin Designer's Showcase, and holds the Heart of Marin Awards. Volunteer leaders can be involved in the planning and organizing of these events, or serve on a standing committee at the Center such as the Marketing Committee or Volunteer Program Development Team.
