BoardMatch Marin

The Center is dedicated to strengthening nonprofit boards of directors in Marin. The BoardMatch Marin program's mission is to help Marin's nonprofits develop and maintain strong boards of directors that will work with their internal staff to ensure the organizations are successful in acheiving their missions.

Matching Services

Through a free, personalized matching program, we connect engaged individuals from the Marin community with nonprofits that are in need of board members. Potential board candidates are matched with nonprofits based on the candidate's interests and background relative to the particular needs of the nonprofit boards.

If you're interested in serving on a nonprofit board and want the flexibility to take your time and still be efficient, I would highly recommend BoardMatch Marin. I filled out the application, met with the Coordinator to discuss my interests and experience, and was provided me with a selection of organizations. Currently, BoardMatch Marin is the only board referral program in the Bay Area that offers individual guidance and support from trained coordinators.

BoardMatch Success

BoardMatch Marin has matched over 40 candidates with nonprofit board positions in the last two years and has over 80 organizations actively seeking candidates through the program.
